Huaiyin Institute of Technology (HYIT), Huai’an, China, Assistant Professor, 2015 to 2017; Professor, Robotics & AI Lab, 2019 to present
Recruited to develop the Computer Science Faculty’s robotics capability, I conceived and built the Robotics & AI Laboratory in 2015, equipping it with open-hardware platforms, ROS-compatible robots and GPU clusters. The lab has since been recognised three times (2019, 2021, 2022) as a provincial and municipal “Foreign Expert Studio,” reflecting its role as a talent hub. Each academic year, I teach Java, Linux, Sensor Technology, Deep Learning with Python, and Human-Robot Interaction, supervise more than 200 student projects, and mentor visiting lecturers. My students have secured more than ten patents, and over twenty have collected national and provincial robotics competition prizes annually. I have also authored 'Robotics and AI', a 2022 textbook published by Nanjing University. For these contribution,s I received the Jiangsu Certificate of Friendship in 2020 and the Envoy of People’s Friendship award in 2022, and I continue to lead funded research on intelligent path-planning, navigation and HRI systems.
